Scott Funeral Home has served the Chatham and Pittsylvania County area since 1898. Beginning as Jefferson Funeral Home, Kenneth Scott purchased the business in 1944 and was later joined by his brother Curtis.
In addition to the funeral business, they helped the community by providing an ambulance service in the days before rescue squads, and even donated their ambulance to help start Chatham Rescue Squad. They also helped countless families in need with their loved one’s arrangements.
Now, Kenneth’s grandson Will and his wife Amy, along with the helpful, friendly, and capable staff are proud to renew the tradition of providing exceptional funeral and cremation services by a locally owned funeral home to families in their time of need. We also offer funeral pre-planning and have a wide selection of quality products and services, including monuments and markers, to fit any budget.
We sincerely appreciate those families that have trusted us for generations and would love to welcome back those that have chosen to go another way, as well as those that have not yet experienced the exceptional service and care that we provide with a down home, personal touch.
We would be happy to talk with you and answer any questions that you may have about our services or funeral service in general. Please do not hesitate to call or stop by.
“Thank you for allowing us to serve you and your family for over a century and for the honor and privilege of continuing to serve this community.”
-Will and Amy Scott; Owners and Local Residents.
